Meet the Directors

Meet the directors, Dean and Michael, who have built the company from the ground up. With a highly skilled and diverse set of staff, SMLXL Projects have the right team to fit your project and delivery needs.

Dean Ossip

Managing Director

Since SMLXL’S inception, Dean has led the company, helping to establish it as one of Australia’s foremost design and construction companies. Dean has over 15 years experience within the construction industry across multiple sectors and has successfully delivered several highly complex and large scale design and construction and PPP projects.

Dean has gained a reputation as a hands on team leader who involves himself in all parts of a project. In 2015 he was recognised by AIM as one of the 30 under 30’s. He has a Bachelor of Construction Management from Western Sydney University (UWS) and on top of his ongoing duties at SMLXL, Dean is Vice president at the not-for-profit organisation Heilala. Michael Ettrick

Director, Operations

Michael joined SMLXL at its inception, bringing a raft of construction and leadership experience. Prior to this, he was a Project Manager at Built on many of Sydney’s largest projects. Michael has strong technical and team leadership skills. With a proven track record in commercial and operational management, he is well equipped to oversee the operational function at SMLXL with overall responsibility for all site activities. Michael’s skills span the entire process from idea conception to visual creation and project handover. Michael has a Bachelor of Building Construction at the University of New South Wales (UNSW). His experience covers a broad spectrum of high profile projects including:
